Wicked Easy 15-Minute Scones

Scones hot from the oven

This super-fast, super easy, recipe is adapted from the Cream Biscuits in James Beard's Beard on Bread.

They are great hot from the oven and drizzled with a little honey or light Maple Syrup 

Yield
5 Servings
Preparation time
15 minutes
Ingredients
1 c Bisquick
1⁄2 c Heavy Cream
1 T Sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Grease a cookie sheet.
  3. Combine the cream, Bisquick, and a little of the sugar. Stir lightly with a wooden spoon until ingredients are combined.
    OPTIONAL: add some currants, or orange zest, or whatever suits your fancy.
  4. Roll into golf-ball size balls, then flatten into hockey pucks.
  5. Place on cookie sheet and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Demerara sugar is nice if you have it.
  6. Bake at 425 for 12-13 minutes. Serve hot.
