A Flight at Deepwater Brewing

A flight at Deepwater BrewingTwo of the brewers we visited on the trip do not have their beers available in bottles yet, so we had to sample them onsite. The first was the new Deepwater Brewing at their restaurant in Blue Hill, on the road between ellsworth and stonington.

Deepwater is a very small (3 bbl) operation just getting started. It was too early to eat anything after a big lunch, so we sampled a flight of four of their ales. They were all fresh and true to type; I liked the porter the best of the lot, but I didn't care for the IPA at all. None of them really leapt out at me as memorable, but it is a very nice place, and a well-run operation, so I am sure they will do well. I will have to keep an eye on this brewery.
