Name: Allagash White Ale
Type: Belgian-style White Ale
This is Lorna's favorite beer, if she can get it draft. Belgian-style white ales are brewed with some wheat malt, which makes it very light and a little sweet. The style includes coriander seed, orange peel, and other seasonings that complement the wheaty mildness of the ale, making it excellent for aummer sipping.
Allagash White Ale doesn't overpower fish and chicken dishes, and it is a surprisingly fine accompaniment to heavy flavorful charcuterie like good smoked Polish Sausages.
