Best of Show: The fresh asparagus at Verrill Farm, Concord, MA
We were taking a roundabout route from Plymouth to the Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem, MA by way of Worcester, and that's what brought us to the happy circumstance of being at Verrill Farm just as they were harvesting their own asparagus. Lorna's father raised asparagus, and fresh asparagus in June is one of her fondest childhood memories.
