Coow Woow

By John, 26 October, 2011
Description

The Coow Woow is not great, but it is pretty good once you know what you are getting into. The one I tried at the Wayside Inn was made with white rum, but I tried it later at the club with dark rum and found it superior.

Yield
1 Servings
Preparation time
5 minutes
Ingredients
2 oz Dark Rum (Screech frm Newfoundland is great here. )
1 oz Ginger Brandy (I used New England's own Allen's)
Instructions

Combine rum and brandy, shake with ice and serve with caution. Note that this is purported to be a colonial cocktail, well before the invention of the modern cocktail glass. If you drink a pint of this in a colonial pewter mug, well, you've nobody to blame but yourself. If you do, I suggest you opt for a colonial means of getting home, perhaps a patient old dray-horse rather than your own late-model Mustang.

Notes

Note that it is all liquor - no mixers, no ice, no mercy.
