The first of our special Train Dinners was closest to New England. we were following the Erie Canal across upstate New York, so we went with:
- Strongbow Dry Cider
- Dry Sausage from Morse's Sauerkraut
- Grafton Village 2-year sharp cheddar from The Concord Cheese Shop
- Vermont Shepherd from their honor stand.
- A Cortland Apple and an Empire Apple
- Toasted Walnuts
- It was a delicious tast of home before reaching Chicago and the vast expanses beyond.
